Would you like to learn how to build large scale walls using easy twisting techniques? Then join Project 72 Commander Steven Jones as he shows you how to build an 8′ by 12′ wall that will be used as part of the decor for the event. If you want to offer more decor in your business, you don’t want to miss this opportunity.

Join business guru Jill Shortreed as attendees will learn why skill alone does not create a profitable business. In this class, you’ll see how to turn talent into a clear offer with a customer, problem, outcome, scope, and price. Students will leave with the beginnings of one clearly defined core offer.

As we start to get all the festivities ready for the night ahead, help us build astronaut themed balloon sculptures that we can use to brighten up the place!

7:00 PM – AOTY #1 Balloon Dog Speed Round, presented by MSR Wholesale Balloons

For those who have dared to enter our Artist of the Year Competition, our mission specialists will have five (5) minutes to make as many balloon dogs using 260s as they can. Remember, each balloon dog MUST have at least three (3) folds in order to be counted, and they must “stay”…..get it?

8:00 PM – AOTY #2 Flower Speed Round, presented by JK Balloons & More

For those brave enough to enter our Artist of the Year Competition, our mission specialists will have five (5) minutes to make as many balloon flowers using 260s. Remember, each balloon flower MUST have at least five (5) “petals” in order to be counted, so no four petal flowers here!

9:00 PM – Joke Contest – Best “Dad Joke”

We all know twisters love a good joke…think you’ve got a good one? Then consider entering our Joke Contest and share your best “Dad Joke.” Whether it’s a clever play on words or a horrible groan worthy pun, the audience will decide whose joke is the best of the bunch. But remember…it’s a Dad joke, so family friendly only please.

10:00 PM – Group Build – Rockin’ Rockets

Join in the fun and put your building skills to the test as anyone who wishes to enter has 45 minutes to design their favorite rocket ship concept (Human style preferred please…UFO designs are coming later…)

10:00 AM – AOTY #3 Color Design Challenge

Day Two begins for our Artist of the Year Competition, and this time our mission specialists will show off their amazing sculpting skills using thirty minutes of time but only one color of balloons. And yes, one color of one brand ONLY, so no shades or mixed manufacturers to get subtle differences…show off your sculpting skills with ONE single color.

12:00 PM – AOTY #4 Mystery Theme Challenge, presented by MSR Wholesale Balloons

Here’s a challenge for our Artist of the Year Competition…our mission specialists will have thirty (30) minutes to create a sculpture of your choice, but they won’t know the theme of what they’re making until 30 seconds before the competition starts…talk about tough…

1:30 PM – “Stop Fixing the Wrong Problem!” – FREE class with Jill Shortreed, courtesy of Fable & Firm Co.

It is possible to work incredibly hard and still make very little progress when the wrong problem is being addressed. In this class with Jill Shortreed, you’ll gain better understanding of what may actually be holding your business back—and a method for deciding what to address first.

Twisters SHOULD be using linking balloons, as so many of the designs work on the same principles! In this class, Steve will show you how to make three (3) different food designs that are fun AND sellable.

We all know twisters love a good joke…think you’ve got a good one? Then consider entering our Joke Contest and share your best knock knock joke. The audience will vote on who their favorite jokester was, but remember…we ask that you keep it family friendly.

7:00 PM – AOTY #5 Limited Latex Challenge

Another mission begins as part of our Artist of the Year Competition, and this time our mission specialists will have thirty (30) minutes of time to make whatever they want out of balloons, but they’ll have to use a pre-determined kit of balloons…and of course, the competitors won’t know what’s in the kit until they open them!

In this round of our AOTY contests, our mission specialists will have ten (10) minutes to create the coolest design they can come up with, whatever the theme may be. And when the competition has ended, everyone in attendance will have up to thirty (30) minutes to vote for their favorite entry!

10:00 AM – AOTY #8 Thirty (30) Minute Design Challenge

In this round of our AOTY contests, our mission specialists will have thirty (30) minutes to create the coolest design they can come up with, whatever they want to make…and with thirty minutes available, it’s time to let your imagination and talent flow!

ENTRANCE IS LIMITED TO THOSE WHO PRE-ENROLLED AND PAID TO BE PART OF THE AOTY COMPETITION.

12:00 PM – AOTY #9 Sixty (60) Minute Design Challenge

One of the longest of our AOTY contests, our mission specialists will have only one hour…sixty (60) minutes to create the coolest, biggest or most detailed sculpture they can come up with. Get comfy for this one, as it will be sixty minutes of fun, stress and amazement.

4:00 PM – “Sellable Linking Sculptures” – FREE class with Steven Jones, courtesy of ALOFT Streaming

Twisters SHOULD be using linking balloons, as so many of the designs work on the same principles! In this class, Steve will show you how to make three (3) different concepts that he has sold to decor clients more than a few times…which means easy money!

8:00 PM – AOTY #10 Wearable Design Challenge

As we come to the end of our Artist of the Year Competition series, our mission specialists will have one last task..to create a fun and wearable balloon creation. It can be a costume, it can be a hat, it can be a sculptural design…but you only have sixty (60) minutes to make it in.

ENTRANCE IS LIMITED TO THOSE WHO PRE-ENROLLED AND PAID TO BE PART OF THE AOTY COMPETITION.

9:00 PM – Raffle Prizes

For those of you who purchased raffle tickets, it’s time to pull the winning numbers! Some prizes don’t require you to be there, but others do, so make sure you plan on being there in person for this big moment!

YOU MUST HAVE EITHER RECEIVED OR PURCHASED RAFFLE TICKETS TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR PRIZES

Once all the balloons have been twisted and the votes tallied, it’s time to announce our winners of the Artist of the Year Competition. We will announce all the individual winners as well as our very first ever overall champion of Artist of the Year! So be there to cheer on the victors!

As things begin to wind down in Station 37, we will start removing the decor you created over the weekend. If one of your designs was included on the ceiling and you’d like to get it back, be sure to join us then so we can reunite you. And of course, you’re always welcome to pop away and help us prepare for the end of the mission.
